Flexible Financing for Life’s Needs

Overview

What is a Home Equity Line of Credit?

A Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) is a flexible way to borrow against the equity in your home. Instead of receiving a lump sum, you’re approved for a credit line and can access funds as needed—making it ideal for tuition, repairs, or recurring expenses.

You can borrow up to 80% of your home’s equity, minus the balance of your first mortgage. Interest applies only to what you use, and the line can be reused as you repay.

For example: If your home is valued at $200,000 and your remaining mortgage balance is $100,000, you may qualify to borrow up to $60,000.

($200,000 x 80% = $160,000 – $100,000 = $60,000)

Testimonials

Hear From Our Members!

Real stories from real people who’ve found their financial home.

I recently moved to Vermont and was looking for a new financial institution. Several people recommended 802 Credit Union. Kim helped me set up my accounts, my direct deposit and got me started with online banking. She showed me how to use Bill Pay, which I never used at my previous bank. What a huge convenience! I highly recommend 802 Credit Union and all the staff at the Windsor branch.
