What is an IRA Shares Account?
An IRA Shares Account is a flexible retirement savings product that offers a higher yield than a standard savings account without locking in your funds. You can contribute anytime throughout the year and even schedule automatic deposits from your 802CU or external accounts. When you’re ready, you can roll your balance into an IRA Certificate for a higher rate of return.
IRA Shares statements are generated quarterly by default, but you can request monthly statements if preferred.
A Base Shares account is required to open an IRA Shares account.
