What is an IRA Certificate of Deposit (CD)?
An IRA Certificate of Deposit lets you lock in a fixed term and competitive rate to maximize your retirement savings. Ideal for rollovers or lump-sum contributions, IRA CDs typically earn a higher APY than savings accounts. Once opened, no additional contributions are permitted during the term, so they’re best for funds you don’t need to access right away.
Statements are issued quarterly by default, but can be switched to monthly by request. Most accounts can also be consolidated into one statement.
A Base Shares account is required to open an IRA Certificate.
