Youth Certificate of Deposit (CD)

A long-term savings option for minors that earns more while encouraging consistent saving habits.

$50 minimum opening balance and $10,000 maximum
5-year term with higher APY than standard youth savings
Allows ongoing deposits during the term—rare for CDs
Early withdrawal penalty applies (180 days’ dividends)

A Youth Savings account and joint ownership with a parent or legal guardian are required to open a Youth Certificate of Deposit.
