For Super Bowl Snacking

Super Bowl Sunday is one of the biggest events in America and the perfect opportunity to gather with friends and family to enjoy delicious food and great company. If you’re looking to bring a crowd-pleasing snack to the party (that won’t break the bank of course), look no further! In this recipe, we’ll show you how to whip up a delicious and affordable twist on a classic dish that will have your guests coming back for seconds. So, let’s get started and make your Super Bowl Sunday celebration a tasty one.

1 diced onion
3 minced garlic cloves
1 lb ground beef or chicken
Taco Seasoning: cumin, salt, and pepper, etc to taste
12-15 wonton wrappers (found in the produce section near the tofu)
1 cup shredded cheese
optional toppings: sour cream, salsa, guacamole, diced tomato, hot sauce, or cilantro, etc.

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Prepare your taco filling in a skillet while the oven preheats.
  • Cook the onion until soft, then add garlic and cook for 30 more seconds. Add your meat.
  • Season to taste (salt, pepper, cumin, or your favorite taco meat seasoning).
  • Cook until browned. Drain excess fat and remove from heat.
  • Lightly grease your muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Press each wonton wrapper into the muffin pan to form the shape of a cup. Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove the wonton taco cups from the oven and fill each with a spoonful of the meat mixture and top with shredded cheese.
  • Bake an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted
  • Serve with optional toppings like sour cream, salsa, guacamole, diced tomato, hot sauce, or cilantro.

This recipe can be easily customized to your liking by adding or switching up the fillings and toppings.
Enjoy your delicious wonton taco cups while watching the game.
